Peaceful Weekend

Charlie and the girls went up north to his parents this weekend. I worked last night, tonight and tomorrow. Charlie thought a little quiet, peaceful sleep would be good for me (tonight will be my 44-56th hours of work). When Charlie is home on the weekend and I work, I really do get a good amt of sleep during the day. Charlotte and Emma Kate are also giving Charlie a break b/c they want to play all weekend with Aunt Sara!! The girls have had a good week. We spent last weekend with my mom, Charlie's mom and aunt came to our house on Monday and Tuesday and now they are at Charlie's parents. CHarlotte had her 2 1/2 yr MD appt for which she screamed the ENTIRE time. Thank goodness we have a wonderful pediatrician. She is ahead of the ballgame in development except for height and weight but I just figure she can wear her clothes longer and she is lighter to carry! She weighed in at 27 lbs and was 36 inches!! Emma Kate is growing up so fast as well. She had her first "table food" this week eating a meal of chicken and corn. She has also started to climb the stairs and can pretty much keep up with Charlotte. She is working very hard to work but crawling fast seems to be working quite well. I am not used to a crawler as you might remember Charlotte's wounded dog version of the crawl (which was quite fast as I remember). Charlie and I have decided we know have a kid and a "real girl" (Charlotte calls Emma Kate that now!) instead of an infant and "big baby" (as Charlotte used to call herself). I will post pictures when Charlie and the girls get back home tomorrow!
