Oh my goodness... The Princesses!

Note to moms... Don't tell your kids anything exciting until the day before! I told Charlotte a couple of weeks ago that we were going to see the princesses... and she asked me everyday until we went on Friday. There was nothing more exciting that to see Charlotte's face each time she saw a princess, Mickey, Daisy Duck, anything reallys. We were able to get a great spot to see the show at Cinderella Castle. That was the first thing we saw in the morning.

We then rode a few rides and in fact, Charlotte was not scared. By the end of the day, we rode Buzz Lightyear, Pooh and It's a Small World. After a COOL lunch, we got the hook up to see the princesses. Caroline was in line with both babies, Julia and Matthew when mom and I were with Charlotte in line buying treats. Caroline ran up and said we got to jump in line! We figure the lady felt bad thinking Caroline had 1 yr old twins, a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old. We got to skip the 90 minute line and waited only 5 minutes!! Charlotte was suprisingly not shy but her face was just priceless. Emma Kate and Will wanted nothing to do with the princesses - they were nice from afar.

Finally, at the end of the day, when everyone was getting super hot and crabby (minus Matthew - he won kid of the day!) we again got great seat for the 3pm parade. The cast members must have felt very sorry for us with all the hot, sweaty little kids. Our seat were diagonal from the castle and in the shade. Again, Charlotte was SO EXCITED, as was Julia of course! Although we were very sweaty, we had an awesome day. We left right in time as a huge storm started right after we left. My only regret is that Charlie didn't get to see Charlotte's face but I'm sure she will be just as excited next time!!

**I have a couple more pictures on my camera that I can post when I get home. There is a very cute one of Charlotte showing Belle that she had her Jibitz in her croc.

Thursday at the pool

On Thursday, Caroline and her kids minus Andrew plus the girls, mom and I, went to the big fancy pool where one of Caroline's friends was staying. The pool area was awesome. The little girls loved the zero entry pool; it was just the right depth for however tall you are. They especially loved the 3 fish that squirted water into the pool. Charlotte kept saying "I'm brave enough" to go in a little farther and get squirted by the fish. They also had a lazy river that I was lucky enough to go down with a 1 year old and 2 year old in my lap! They both are very clingy, especially in unfamiliar surroundings! Mom went with us and we had a great time. The hotel also had a huge slide that the big kids loved!!!

Hello Sunny Florida!

The girls, mom and I arrived safely in Florida on Wednesday (I know it has been a long time since a post!). Charlotte loves to play with her "best friend cousin" Julia. Emma Kate and Will play next to each other, steal each other's pacifiers and hit each other with toys - how fun!! Caroline has a weekend full of fun events for us!! Check out the other postings!!All that playing really wears you out!
"Best friends and cousins forever!"

Charlotte's new dream is to be a ballerina - pretty impressive!

Charlie and Charlotte - The Greer Gardeners

Charlie and Charlotte like to work in the garden together. Here are a few pictures of their flowers:

Weird Indiana weather

Just a picture of the odd weather we have benn having lately. In the last month in Central Indiana, there has been multiple tornadoes and a ton of flooding. Mixed in with that are days of 90+ heat followed by days in the 70's. Here is a picture of one odd night.

Charlotte's little friend

We have a little bird in our backyard that cannot fly. Charlotte tries to take care of it by feeding it grass and trying to get it to drink from her pool. Here is Charlotte with her friend - sort of eerie how close the bird let her get before it hopped away!

Hurray for the Spray Park

Last week a group of girls from work met up with all of the kiddos at a spray park. They kids all loved it and it was a new event for all the kids. Charlotte LOVED it and Emma Kate was happy to walk around and be a racoon. On a side note, Charlotte is scared of the lawn mower, vaccuum and any bug. However, that day I couldn't find her but located her at the very top of a 12 foot curved ladder - not too scared of jumping or climbing.

Its official... there is just one!

I had my 1st MD appt yesterday and begged and pleaded for an ultrasound today to verify we are only having one baby! Might seem absurd, I know, but Charlotte had darn near convinced me that I had "one baby boy and one baby girl" in my belly. With the extent of the nausea and vomiting, I had all but given up on having a singleton! The ultrasound tech was able to to the ultrasound abdominally and found a strong heartbeat and a healthy kiddo (whom happened to look like a little mouse!). Our scanner isn't currently functional but will post the baby's first pics when it is up and working. We are blessed to have another healthy baby on the way.

Our version of a waterpark

Temperatures have soared into the 90's this week but the girls are still loving to play outside. I set up our small Dora sprinkler thinking that Emma Kate would love it and Charlotte would be terribly afraid. Turns out, the exact opposite happened!

Charlotte and the ducks

I thought it would be a good idea to take the girls to the small "pond" in our neighborhood to feed the ducks. However, geese act much differently than ducks- Charging toward us as we threw the bread and pulling each other's tail feathers out. Emma Kate knew better and would not let me put her down!

Daddy and the girls take a trip

Charlie took the girls to his best friend Carl's new house last weekend. I worked all weekend so they were off. Carl and Angela recently moved to Champaign. Chris, Wendy and Sam also visited. The girls had a great time at the park and the boys enjoyed time away golfing as well. Please excuse the crazy hair Charlotte and Emma Kate have... Daddy isn't very good about making them wear bows!
