Happy Birthday Baby Girl

Our baby is 4 years old today! With joyous hearts, we welcomed Charlotte Mary into our lives on Aug 4, 2005. She weighed in at a whopping 8#14oz and was 22 1/4 inches long. How big you start obviously does not correlate to how big you will be... she is quite a peanut. For each year of age, Charlotte sets the same number of "goals":

#1: Sleep in her own bed - tonight is night #1
#2: Stop having her "suck" - 2 middle fingers on left hand
#3: Get dressed by herself - already accomplished that
#4: Bake a cake by herself(random - and she knows she is not allowed too. She subsequently took it off of her list!)

Charlotte

#1: is very dramatic, she might win an Oscar someday and can cry on cue and is quite stubborn.
#2: loves her little sister and brother - maybe brother a little more right now because he can't get into her toys.
#3: has a sweet little voice. I think that is the window to her soul - quite sweet and gentle.
#4: is full of spunk and sassy!

We love you 4 year old girl - the baby that gave us the best jobs in the world... Mommy and Daddy!

Victory, Success!

2 in their beds and the oldest one said, "Mommy and Daddy move over". Emma Kate successfully asleep in her new toddler bed and Cooper in the crib. We had to find a new place for Emma Kate since Cooper needed not be in our room anymore. We are still working on Charlotte who enjoys the comfort of a pillow top king size mattress!

Spray Park

A great breezy Saturday afternoon at the playground and spray park!

Scared of getting too wet...

but not of the biggest slide!

Big Boy and Best Friends

While a Monkey Joe's last week with Krysta and and her kids and Lisa and her kids, Krysta informed me that yes, Cooper can sit up. She plopped him down on the mat and suprise... he can do it! We don't have carpet in our downstairs so Cooper never gets the chance to sit and play for fear of Traumatic Brain Injury. Next to Coop is his best friend Ashley! Mixed emotions of not being a little bitty baby but excited for the next stage!

Deep River Water Park

Charlie's mom had an early birthday party for Charlotte at Deep River Water Park. The weather wasn't too hot so it wasn't too crowded. They had great areas for little kids and Charlotte and Emma Kate could also do the big rides with us! A super fun day!

Aunt Mere, John, Pete and Meemaw

Aunt Mere, John, Pete and Meemaw came to our house for 5 days last week. We had a great time!! He went to the Children's Museum, Holiday World and Monkey Joe's for the kiddos. We left all 5 home with Charlie and went to The Melting Pot - yummy! Mere took most of the pics as you can see by my collection below.

Charlotte and Emma Kate didn't prefer King Tut so we sat in the hallway - I did not venture by myself with them as I couldn't do the carousel with both of them and Coop. So, what do you do? Play hide and seek in a corner with one pole - the hid behind it every time!

The bigger kids argued over anything with wheels - 3 doll stroller and a shopping cart. Look at the cooperation John and Emma Kate had to push CHarlotte with her long, long hair!

Is this considered a craft?

I am not a mom that enjoys crafty things; I don't own pipe cleaners or paints and leave all the art to preschool. Is painting with water considered art or a craft? Pathetic I know!

Pretty Toes with Momma

Charlotte loves to come with me to get a pedicure - a mommy and daughter date!

Pretty Lame Mommy!

Cooper loves the Johnny Jumper and the exersaucer but is now at the age when he wants someone to watch him play. What is the solution? Put a mirror in front of him so he thinks he has a friend!

"Emma Kate knows the Potty Train" says Charlotte

Emma Kate has ditched her diap and moved on to greener pastures of potties and panties. She basically has done it all by herself, sweet doll that she is! She LOVES Mickey Mouse ("Mee Mou") and was quite upset that Mickey Mouse only comes on boys undies, so boys undies it is for Emma Kate. She does have a selection of girls underpants as well, but almost always chooses Mickey and Pluto. Shame on you underwear companies to think that girls would only want Minnie and Daisy on their behinds!
