A little naughty, a little nice

I heard Emma Kate moving a chair in the kitchen but didn't realize what she was up to!

Then she let me take some adorable pictures of her!

And the classic Emma Kate face (CHEEEEEEEESE!)

Imaginations at work

The girls have recently been "pretending" more. Emma Kate now loves to play babies and Charlotte still does but is now more animated.

Emma Kate picking up the dolly and giving her a kiss on her boo boo.

Charlotte going to pretend Florida.

Charlotte and Emma Kate on the airplane - notice the pop you have to have on the airplane.

Charlotte feeding Rykus supper.

Charlotte giving her babies (Rykus and Tykus) a bath. They are very brave when the get a wash.

**Rykus and Tykus are twin baby girls!

How much their imaginations grow each day. How wonderful to see the world through the eyes of a 3 yr old and 16 month old.

I will take the credit

As you might have noticed, I do have friends! When I started blogging I had only my sisters as Friends. Now, all of my friends at work are jumping on the bandwagon and creating blogs. They thought I was nerdy at first but not so nerdy anymore. They now hound me when I haven't updated. Its not like I don't see them at least twice a week!

Its a Boy!

We found out today that the Greer House will no longer be a sorority! Cooper Greer will be dressed as a princess soon enough by big sisters Charlotte and Emma Kate. We got some really cool 3D Ultrasound pics but unfortunately I can't scan them in. I will post them as soon as possible!

Our funny little Emma Kate

She loves the camera more than Charlotte. She is wild, loud and cuddley!

Our last summer trip to the pool

Here in Indiana the pools close when school starts even though it is still super hot! Here are some pics of our last pool trip. Kim has the action water shots so I will get those later.

Emma Kate's Most Perfect Day

Who loves her nanny as much as Matthew Kane did? Emma Kate of course! All she needs now is a milk cup and it would be her most perfect day!

Pretty Pretty Princesses

Oh how we love to dress up like princesses. Charlotte insists that Emma Kate be Tinkerbell (the only one that fits her). Charlotte is now in love with her "married girl" dress and dancing with the prince (daddy of course!)

Charlotte and the Olympics

Charlotte is a huge fan of the Olympics. She was allowed to stay up late and watch the opening ceremonies with Charlie while I was at work. She then told me that she was going to be in the Olympics either as a runner girl, gymnastics girl or a drummer girl. I think we might have better luck if we started drumming lessons now than with the running! Charlotte is now weighing in at 30 lbs and is 3 foot 1 inch... so maybe a gymnast but I'm putting my eggs in the drumming basket!

She asks everyday to watch the Olympics, she doesn't care what sport it is!

Potty Training Complete!

Charlotte has mastered the art of using the potty. She will only use the real toilet now, no potty seat or even the insert for the toilet. Those are for "babies". Now that she is potty trained, our little girl will be starting preschool September 2, something else that only "big girls" can do. Now if I could only get that big girl to help clean up. That must be a little girl skill that Emma Kate has mastered.

Down on the Farm

Rowena, my friend from work, lives on a small farm in Kokomo. Kim and I took our kids for an afternoon at their farm. Charlotte loved the chickens, as you can see. Emma Kate actually was chasing them and yelling "hi" at them - does tht suprise you! They picked apples, peaches and corn. The fresh, non-fertilized produce was delicious!

Charlotte's chicken - she later kept asking that if a rooster was her little chicken!

Emma Kate loved the tire swing more than Charlotte!

Charlotte's Birthday Pics

Note: she got to pick out what she wanted to wear. Hence the very fancy party dress!

We tried to go to the Bounce Zone but unfortunatley, both were closed on Monday. We found an indoor playland and kiddie arcade attached to a bowling alley that did the trick. She got to pic her own supper (Spaghetti) and go to Target with mom to pick out 2 new Barbies! What a great day for our Big Girl!! She also got a Barbie Jeep from Charlie and me (I found it to be rather unsafe at first but it really doesn't go very fast and we would never actually let them ride it by themselves. I said they have to wear their bike helmets next time!

Potty Training Update - 3 for 4!

Charlotte has a wonderful 3rd birthday with mommy, daddy and Emma Kate. I will post pics in the morning - can't do that at work!

Yesterday Charlotte used the potty 2 times... how can you only pee 2 times in one day? She did great out in the afteroon with a pull-up nad dry when we got home. She got to go to Target with me with underpants on to spend some of her birthday money. Yea Charlotte.

Today she had 1 accident on the floor and once accident that involved the potty... she tried to clean up the potty and spilled the pee on the floor. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Charlotte's hidden talents!

We have been thinking about putting her on the next "America's Got Talent".

Charlotte pees on the potty!

I have been "trying" to potty train Charlotte for quite some time obviously to no success. I finally gave up, put away the potty and underpants, and got the diapers back out. She told me that when she was 3 she would "learn the potty train". We even made up a potty song for her:

I'm 3, I'm 3!
On the potty I will pee.

Goodbye diapers, hello panties,
Goodbye diapers, hello panties,

I'm 3, I'm 3!

Charlie and I had our doubts that this day would come and go without a diaper but CHarlotte has successfully gone on the potty 1 time. Don't put it in the record book yet... She was diaperless and clotheless for 4 hrs this morning. I heard her yell, "Mommy I peed". To which I replied "Where?". "In the potty like you told me". I tried to get her to sit this morning but she refused like always. Her treat to peeing on the potty was getting to go in the Johnny Jumper - I know, not safe if you are 30 lbs!! But... it worked!

Charlotte is 3!

Today is Charlotte's 3rd birthday!! This day is very sad for me, I don't want her to grow up, but bittersweet in the same way. She is becoming more independent and helpful (although Emma Kate still beats her in the helpful dept!). She has her own opinions about everything. It is hard to believe that she is 3! I will post more pics of the birthday bash later (not a big bash - just mom, dad, Charlotte and Emma Kate).

Ode to the Birthday Suit - Its 7:45 am on a Monday...

Why are my kids running around the backyard naked?
This pic are after I convinced to come in! Charlotte loves the napkin hat.
