Snuggle Bugs!

Since the 1st day Cooper came home from the hospital, Charlotte has loved holding him and especially likes to snuggle with her little brother. She was sitting on our bed "watching him" and when I came back. this is what I saw. Looks like little brother is crushing big sister - he is already 1/2 of what she weighs!

Johnny Jumper

Cooper has hit another milestone...Johnny Jumper. We will see if he proves to like it as much as Charlotte. She could literally jump for hours (mostly tilted to one side on one leg and then she would switch) and would fall asleep right there is the Johnny Jumpers. Emma Kate also looked jumping. However, Emma Kate thinks more of it now as a swing for Cooper!

"Shhh, Cooper! Don't tell mommy I did it - she isn't looking!"

"1,2,3 - watch out Charlotte!"

"Seriously, what was she trying to do to me!"

"Oh no, she's back!"

Cooper's 1st attempt at cereal

"If I sneeze and pretend I'm allergic, will she still make me eat it?"
"I told you that I don't like it!"
"Right back at ya mommy"
"OK, maybe not so bad"
"Not so bad after all"
1 Tablespoon of cereal took about 5 minutes. He didn't like it at first and kept spitting it back at me. But you can see, fat and happy always wins out in the end

Cooper's Dedication

Last Sunday, Cooper had his dedication at church. Although Charlie was not able to be there due to work, Meredith and the boys were still in town. Cooper was all smiles during the dedication! We are so blessed to have a wonderful church family to watch Cooper grow!

Misc. pics of the cousins

Hey John, look at these little stairs.

Do you want me to teach you how to jump on the bed?

Mathcing boy cousins

Where did that big boy go that was holding us up?

All this fun makes us SO tired!

Its just fun to play

The kids loved riding bikes and playing together. John found his new favorite food, next to dog food... sand! Meredith and I strategically parked the cars in the street you no one could ride there bike into the street. You must wear a helmet at our house even if you are just riding a big wheel. Emma Kate has proven that it might be safer if she always wears a helmet. It was easier to leave the helmets on rather than taking them on and off because John and Emma Kate have the attention span of a flea!

Hey, these babies are sleeping in the yard!

Zoo Time!

Mom's class had a field trip to the zoo on Friday and it was a great day for the kids to be at the zoo.

Cooper and Pete were thrilled... did they even know they were there?
Emma Kate and John - BFFs.

Cousin Fun!

Meredith, John and Pete came for a week long visit last week. We were so excited for Pete to meet Charlie, Charlotte and Cooper and to just play together.

Time to get clean after playing outside all day!

Top 10

Top 10 things I have learned about being a mom:

1. You don't have to brush your hair or brush your teeth when you are home with your kids, they still think you make the most beautiful Cinderella.
2. Even if you put them in the naughty corner, they are mad and you and are melting down, they still only want you to hold them even though they are mad at you.
3. Magic socks or mittens or hats can cure boo-boos.
4. I can create life and sustain it with only my own body.
5. Trips to Target and slushies can solve any crisis.
6. My tough, not much emotional husband is now the biggest sucker for little girls.
7. Childrens come in all different "flavors". Boy are mine all different - it takes all kinds!
8. You never knew how much your parents loved you until you love a child.
9. I always wondered if I could love another child as much... Your loves doesn't have to be divided, it mulitplies.
10. I never knew how much I would love being a mom... and I really thought I would. It exceeds all my expectations!

A little more modest

Charlotte is a litlee more modest than Emma Kate; she thinks belly buttons are private (keep thinking that little girl!). She chose the JCPenney catalog over her normal modesty swimwear Duggar-style!

She chose Victoria's Secret over Playboy

In unlike Emma Kate fashion, she chose to wear a swimsuit for her photo shoot instead of her normal topless attire!

Work it girl !

Mark it on the calendar...

Emma Kate finally said her name... at over 2 years. She is such a stinker as she says it SO clear and corrects me like I am saying it wrong. She can't yet say Kate. She manages to say all of our names over and over and over again. Momma, Daddy, Harla (same thing Julia called Charlotte), Emma (or mine as she once called herself) and Baby (she now calls him poopy as well). I'm going to try and video her doing it to prove that she does talk!

Monday = Fun Day

With spring weather here and summer on its way, the Greer Gang has the ditched playing inside and ventured out to blue skies.

Cooper continues to grow like a weed. Since he is now 4 months old he is now a REAL BOY and can "play toys".

Emma Kate has increased her vocabulary to about 80-90 words some of which can only be understood by sweet Charlotte, her interpretor. She has ditched her clothes once again preferring to run around naked or partially clothed. She is looking for a career in swim diaper modeling or head of the "Naked Mole Rats" (a very funny, very Emma Kate book). I don't know if future employers would be impressed by the "nanny" and "poppy" always in tow.

Charlotte's last day of preschool is this week. She has grown socially and academically this year. She can now write her name ("Mommy, you gave me a VERY long name") and identify numbers and letters along with all colors and shapes. We are looking forward to her parent-teacher conference next Monday. We are expecting a good report minus the sand dumping onto a classmates hair incident!

Greer Growth Update

From our peds visit last week:
Charlotte 34 lbs (not sure of her % - not her appt just a trip to the scale)
Emma Kate 26 lbs (70% for weight and height)
Cooper 15 lbs 10 oz (75% for weight, 95% for height)

It took Charlotte a full year to double her weight (almost 9lbs to 18 lbs) and Cooper has almost already met this 6 month milestone (8lbs to 16 lbs). I have a ton of cute pictures to upload tomorrow!
