Pictures of Cooper Warren

Cooper has arrived!

Cooper Warren has finally arrived! He was born at 4:06 pm weighing in at 8# even and was 21 1/4 inches long... smaller than Charlotte bigger than Emma Kate. Everything went fairly smoothly. Caroline and Meredith will post some pictures later tonight!

Slowly but Surely

Cooper is taking his own sweet time on his birthday! A few little bitty complications for me but our sweet baby boy is doing well!

Cooper is on his way!

We are officially on our way to being parents of 3! What a lovely luxury to have a computer you can pull right over the head of the bed. We slept little last night... Charlotte slept with us and had an accident through the pull-up overnight. I was too excited to sleep much and thought I was going to over sleep and miss my induction. I felt a little guilty leaving the girls this morning but peeked in on them before we left. Meredith is in charge of the kids today while mom and Caroline are joining us later. We will keep everyone updated here, email and Facebook... isn't that ambitious!

The origin of the Greer kid's names

Charlotte Mary: Charlotte because she always was "Charlotte". We really had no other names. We like Emily too but saved it to use in the future. Mary because it is my mom's name and Charlie's grandma's name.

Emma Kate: We loved the name Emily and thought about Emily Kathleen for a while. I have 2 dear friends named Emily. Kathleen is my middle name and Katie's full name. One day we just agreed on the shortened form of both names and hence our crazy little Emma Kate... she doesn't need to be named after anyone. I don't know another child quite like her!!

Cooper Warren: Had Charlotte been a boy, she would have been Cooper Warren. Had Emma Kate been a boy, she would have been Cooper Warren. Where we got Cooper, I don't know but it is truly the only boys name we have ever wanted to name a little boy... or agreed on. Warren is my dad's middle name and Charlie's grandpa's first name. We are hoping he was my dad's kind and gentle spirit... maybe I will finally get a laid back and cuddly baby!

Cooper's labor day!

Just a note to let everyone know that I will be induced tomorrow morning at 6:30am!! Cooper Warren will be born on Grandpa Greer's birthday. Meredith and John fly in tonight and Caroline and Will tomorrow morning. Meredith is on kiddo duty (she will virtually have a 3 yr old, a set of 1 yr old triplets and be 30 wks pregnant!). Could you imagine?? Caroline and mom will be at the hospital with Charlie and me awaiting baby Cooper's arrival. More updates tomorrow along with pictures of our beautiful boy... all bets are on the he looks just like the girls when they were born. Although they look different now, I thought they looked just alike at birth... Charlie's face!!

Teeth brushing

Oh how do I get my girls to brush their teeth? Charlotte insists on not using toothpaste and Emma Kate wants to brush for hours!!

Greer Family Christmas

On Sunday we celebrated Christmas with Charlie's dad, sister, brother and his girlfriend and kids. I was too close to baby day so we decided to have Christmas at our house. I was too afraid of possible bad weather and being away from home. The girls enjoyed the day (they had playmates!). Jeff's girlfriend has 2 kids - Allison is 9 and Nathan is 4. Charlotte loves them both!! She calls Allison "the big girl" and really wanted to play with her. She loved playing horses with Nathan and they ran around together!! In our small little living room it was hard to get many pictures, but here are a few of Emma Kate the present thief. Charlie didn't even know he had more presents because Emma Kate would start to open them and then just move on to another!

Christmas at Memaw's

We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's house in Lafayette. We had a wonderful dinner and then went to Christmas Eve service. We opened family gifts that night and then headed home to wait for Santa!

Charlotte's favorite gift was her Hannah Montana guitar and microphone (the only thing she actually asked for). She even shared with Emma Kate. Emma Kate loved her jump on zebra, blocks from Aunt Caroline, and the beautiful jewelry from Aunt Mere. As a family, we got a new camcorder so we didn't get any still pics from Christmas morning, just a picture of our tree pre-unwrapping!

Emma Kate's best present ever!

A huge handful of "papas"... translation for those of you who don't speak "I'm Emma Kate and I don't have many words": my newborn pacifiers!

Decorating for Christmas

We decorated our Christmas tree last week... well, Charlie did most of it. Charlotte was a big help hanging the rest of the "ormanents" and Emma Kate was helpful taking them off. She is getting better as her big sister reminds her to "look, not touch"... until there is a ball that Charlotte thinks she needs to play with! Charlotte is getting excited for Christmas although she doesn't understand the Christmas "season" and thinks everyday is Christmas. Emma Kate is "just learning" and doesn't get it at all!

Happy to see Santa

We have many pictures to post but I am very far behind in blogging. Emma Kate had a bug last weekend and spent most of the past couple of days on the couch... totally not Emma Kate. We saw Santa in Lafayette on Saturday. Charlotte was shy as normal and this is the only picture that we got before Emma Kate started screaming!
